16. JUNE 2007: LFŠ INVITES 'COMING SOON' FOR THEIR OPENING NIGHT
The Association of Czech Film Clubs invited COMING SOON as an Opening-Night Selection at this year's LFŠ and touted it as one of the big surprises of the festival.
The LFŠ is the largest Czech forum for independent world cinema and consistently attracts leading international filmmakers and luminaries. This year's LFŠ was hosted by the legendary humanist and former Czech President, Mr. Václav Havel, and we're highly enthusiastic about the impact on our efforts.
Our screening at the LFŠ was filled to capacity, and dozens of guests and journalists had to be turned away. We offer our sincere apologies to those who missed this opportunity and we invite you to partake in the series of nationwide screenings which will resume in the Fall.
The screening was followed by a beautiful discussion with Director Michaela Pavlatova and representatives from COMING SOON, which, as usual, had to be cut short to make room for the following film. The discussion touched upon Nietzsche, love, sacrilege and unusual zoophilic confessions (among many other things...). As usual, after the screening and debate at least half of the audience raised their hands in support of E.F.A.!
COMING SOON was immediately invited to additional theaters, clubs, and universities around the country and these invitations will gladly be accepted after our Summer hiatus.
