We had more than 40 hours of material and finding a feature-length story within that mass was certain to be an arduous process. As with the rest of the cast and crew, the editor Tomaš Kozák had a full-time "day job" and was only able to work on the film in his free time. The big question was how much free time he’d be able to muster and how much punishment his home-made computer would take before dying.
We weren't completely free either, since the budget had grown from 4,000 to 6,000 USD and we all had to take up several odd jobs (the nature of which cannot be divulged) in order to make up this difference. But we were all excited about the prospect of screening the film at this prestigious festival and we took the plunge, editing whenever we had a free minute.
