8. DUBNA 2006: NAŠE PRVNÍ CENA A POZITIVNÍ RECENZE
The following day, the festival had its huge televised closing ceremony where the awards were handed out. The evening began with COMING SOON being given a Special Award by the jury of university students from the Philosophical Faculty at the University of Western Bohemia, who cited the film’s "originality and support for suppressed minorities." This, once again, assured us that the film would not be perceived as a mockery of minority rights.
The students then awarded Švankmajer with their main award and we were utterly satisfied with the symmetry of it all.
The following day we received our first two positive reviews (to this day we haven't received any negative ones...) one of which compared our film to Švankmajer and the other to South Park. Whatever works.
